Benson fires -2 at SugarTree GC and collects $1650

Bryce Benson, a +0.2 handicap from Arlington, TX, fired a gross score of 68 on the tight and hilly SugarTree GC Saturday in Lipan, TX to win 1st place and a check for $1650. The young pro has been very consistent with a 2nd place finish at WinStar in his last start. He also won with a net score of +2 earlier this year at Coyote Ridge and with the win on Sunday becomes only the 2nd player this year to win more than once in a 1-Day Net Event. Congratulations Bryce on a fine round! POLICY AMENDMENT: The FairWay Tour has the most accurate handicap system in golf...This policy amendment is in accordance with USGA Policy and will be used to further establish the accuracy and integrity of player handicaps on the FairWay Tour. Starting July 4th, ALL verifiable tournament scores may be entered into a player's scoring history. For example, if a player competes in an outside event, such as another handicap tour, scratch tour or other verifiable competition, that score may be added to the player's scoring history. The USGA says there should be no discriminating WHERE the player shot his tournament score. The FairWay Tour agrees and also believes ALL available verifiable TOURNAMENT SCORES should be entered. Non-tournament scores are not entered into the FairWay Tour System. Come join us on Sunday, July 10th at Sky Creek Ranch GC in Keller, TX. The Robert T. Jones design is in immaculate condition. The $70 green fee includes a $39 practice round and voucher to play the course again any time after the tournament during the week for a cart fee only! We hope to see you at this event.
