Thorntree CC Sunday for $35! 2 of 43 players break handicap under perfect conditions at 2 separate events

The FairWay Tour played under perfect conditions at Coyote Ridge on Saturday in Carrollton, TX and Sunday at Forest Ridge Golf Club in Broken Arrow, OK. As stated in my last newsletter, scoring on the FairWay Tour traditionally gets higher with the Fall season. Abdurrahim Kuzu and Paul Aycock somehow solved the extremely fast and bumpy bermuda greens at Coyote Ridge and were the only 2 of 43 players to break their handicap for the weekend. Kuzu edged out Aycock Saturday with a net score of -3.2 to take home $1375 with a field of 25 players. A net score of +3 cashed a check Saturday at Coyote Ridge...On Sunday at Forest Ridge, Andrew McCarther edged out Bryan DonCarlos with a net score of +0.6, which was good for $1000 with an 18 player field. A net score of +4 cashed a check for $200 and 5 spots were paid!! The FairWay Tour goes to West Texas this Saturday to play Bentwood CC in San Angelo. On Sunday in Dallas, the tour will play Thorntree CC, another private facility and site of numerous Byron Nelson Qualifiers...for only 35 bucks! This event is on the same weekend as the Club Championship, which should leave the course in perfect condition for our Sunday afternoon tee time. Major #4 will be played September 24-25 at Dornick Hills CC in Ardmore, OK, yet another private facility located 95 miles north of Dallas and 95 miles south of OKC. This famous Perry Maxwell design is a favorite of FairWay tour players and is home to "The Maxwell" an annual Division 1 college event. The short, tricky par 70 layout will give every player in the field a chance. We hope to see you at the course this weekend because "IF YOU DON'T TEE IT UP YOU CAN'T WIN!"
