Grossart (1.5 hcp) wins $1600+ at Twin Lakes GC; Red River Cup overflowing with Cash!

Twin Lakes Golf Course in Canton, TX was in perfect shape and so was the weather for last Sunday's event. Don Grossart took advantage of the conditions posting a gross score of 70 to win by 3 strokes over Mike Valenzuela. There were just 19 players for this event because of its location but don't think small field means small payout! Grossart won money in everything he entered dominating the net and nassau divisions and also winning the scratch division. Throw in 2 skins and Grossart made $1641...great job Donald! The FGT calendar for the remainder of the year is now finalized with the only exception being possibly Bridlewood Nov 26th depending on the condition of the greens when they re-open November 1st. It is our commitment to bring you quality golf on courses that are in the best shape possible...which is why the calendar is always fluid on the FairWay Tour. This week's event at Quicksand GC in San Angelo will be re-scheduled for next year due to circumstances beyond our control. Our next West Texas event will be at Shady Oaks GC near Abilene, TX on October 23rd. We hope our new players from that region will continue to support the tour so we can bring quality pro golf to your area on a consistent basis. The weekend of Oct.15-16 will feature two 1-day events with Saturday's tourney at Hawk's Creek GC in Ft. Worth (in great shape) and Sunday's event at Tour 18 - Rose Creek (in great shape) in Edmond, OK. Now is the time to enjoy the fall weather and get your name in the top 10 of the points standings for the RED RIVER CUP...which is starting to overflow with nearly $8000 of BONUS CASH inside...There are still five 1-Day events and four Majors to be played...we are optimistic our goal of $10,000 may still be reached. This cash will be be paid out immediately following the RED RIVER CUP CHAMPIONSHIP Dec 3-4 @ CHICKASAW POINTE GC on the RED RIVER! Come play the next event in your area because "IF YOU DON'T TEE IT UP YOU CAN'T WIN!"
