Burton wins Northern Challenge and leaps from 28th to 9th in Points Race

Wesley Burton fired a net score of 141.8 on the par 142 Boiling Springs GC way up north in Woodward, OK this weekend to win the event and cash a check for $2176. The victory also earned him a whopping 195 bonus points and moved him all the way into the top 10 in the points race from the 28th spot as he showed why it can sometimes be worth it to drive a little bit to play in an event! The 6,219 yd layout has to be top 10 most difficult for a course under 6400 yds anywhere! The hilly, tree lined course built on the sandy hills of NW Oklahoma may have been designed by Dr. Seuss with multiple blind shots into very small landing areas with severe elevation changes. Great job Wes! Our next tourney will be Super Major #2 at Dallas Cowboys GC May 19-20. This tourney is projected to pay $10,000 to the winner...Deposit of $145 must be paid by May 11th to get a spot in this event. We hope to see you there because "IF YOU DON'T TEE IT UP YOU CAN'T WIN!"
