Pair of Rhinos battle down the stretch as net score of -3.2 wins more than $10K

Mike Reinhardt (1.7 hcp) and Brian Reinisch (1.3 hcp) battled down the stretch as first round leader Ramiro Martinez couldn't quite hold it together on the back nine Sunday at scenic Chickasaw Pointe GC on Lake Texoma. There were plenty of red numbers over the 2 days but only 3 players in the field of 43 finished in red under perfect conditions all weekend. Playing together, the two rhinos knew where they stood coming down the 18th as both hit their approach shots within 30 ft of the pin on the 455 yd hole. But the tricky placement left Rhino with an 8 footer for par and the other Reino a 5 footer for par. Rhino missed his par putt, leaving the door wide open for Reino to take the event. But it was not to be as Reinisch lipped out his par putt giving Reinhardt his first major win and finally shedding the moniker of "best FairWay Tour player never to win a major"! Congratulations to Mike on a fantastic finish! If you are not already playing the tour, come join us as we play the finest courses in the region.
