Aycock, Dodd fire career lows as tour regulars are seeing improvement

There is no substitute for experience as it is the very best teacher. Paul Aycock has been tearing up the GOLF COURSE, and in turn cashing big time on the FairWay Tour. Paul fired a career low 8 under par 63 at Great Southwest GC Thursday while Derek Dodd also fired a career best 69 at Fairfax Sunday. Paul has been an almost every tournament player over the last 6 months and as a result has seen his handicap drop from a 3.4 to a +1 and lead the money list with $27,060 already this year! The 56 yr old Aycock started playing the tour in Oct 2009 with a 2.2 hcp and ranged from a 3 to a +0.8 before he had a major setback with open heart surgery 18 months ago. Since then, it went to a 4ish before his +1 status today. I think it's safe to say Paul has made a full recovery! Great work Paul! Derek Dodd has been an inconsistent player on the tour, but as a result of some hard work and alot of recent tournament competition under his belt, Derek turned in a 69 to win the event at the par 70 Fairfax GC with a net score of 66.5. We hope to see you at Thorntree CC next Saturday becuase..."If you don't tee it up you can't win!
