Major #5 at Sky Creek Ranch this weekend; Net score of 70 wins competitive event at Bridlewood and Ogle fires 62 at Kickingbird!

Tee it up this weekend at Sky Creek Ranch for Major #5 as the competition is heating up on tour! The Bonus Cash Race is also off to a nice start with great participation so far this quarter. The Major at Sky Creek this weekend is your first chance to really cash in on bonus points so we hope you can join us and get in the race for extra CASH! The FairWay Tour had its closest finish in recent memory Saturday at Bridlewood GC as Steven Kim prevailed in only his 4th start. The 3.5 handicap fired a gross score of 73 for a net score of 70. Kim joined the tour last November as a 2 hcp but moved to 3.5 with rounds of 80, 81 & 82 before finding his game on Saturday. New players are limited to a net score of -2 until they turn in 5 rounds on the tour. But on this day it didn't matter as no one was able to go lower than 70. However, a quick glance at the results reveals a 4-way tie for 2nd at 70.3! Sunday at Kickingbird provided St. Andrews-like scoring conditions with the course playing to a par 69. A washed out bridge gave the course 6 par 3's, one reachable par 4 and 4 reachable par 5's. Jackson Ogle took full advantage as the +1 handicap fired a 7 under par 62 to get the win. The motto of the tour..."If you don't tee it up you can't win" could not have been more true for Ogle as his net score of 71.9 at Bridlewood the day before was only 2 strokes from the win but out of the money. We hope to see you for the 2-day Major this weekend or at least the 1-day Net either day because..."if you don't tee it up you can't win!"
