Hackberry Creek Thursday and Nicklaus designed Flintrock Falls in Austin Saturday as hot weather finally arrives!

The FairWay Tour finally will have a few events without the threat of high winds, freezing temperatures or heavy downpours! The forecast calls for 90 degrees Thursday at Hackberry Creek CC in Las Colinas and 94 degrees Saturday at Flintrock Falls CC in Austin with no rain!! Flintrock Falls is a Nicklaus designed track and the crown jewel of The Hills of Lakeway CC golf courses. This course is in outstanding condition as the US Open Qualifier will be held there 4 days after our event! The 1-Day Major will pay at least $2200 to the winner with 20 players! The field is limited to 24 players on this exclusive track with practice rounds available for the FairWay Tour rate of only $75 (guest of a member rate is $133!) As always, the FairWay Tour does its best to bring you high quality events at high quality golf courses and this week we hit it out of the park! We hope you are able to join us! Last week, heavy rains on Thursday left Prestonwood CC flooded and closed, but the ability of our Tour to be mobile put us at Coyote Ridge GC under a 1 hour rain delay. The players were ready to compete no matter the weather or venue!! It turned out to be a beautiful day albeit ball in hand as Dan Raiford knocked his third shot in the jar from 130 yds on the tenth hole for eagle en route to a 2 under par 70 and net score of 66.5. Not too shabby for a guy who is within a few years of 66.5 yrs old!! Saturday at Earlywine GC in OKC, James Doucettperry got his 2nd win in Oklahoma and third overall (maybe more Texas players should make the short trip north on I-35!), edging out a host of contenders by less than a stroke with a net score of 70.6. First time player Cameron Van Etten got his first career hole in one his way to a second place finish. Two days and two holed shots from more than 100 yds...one from 130 yds and the other from 190 yds. Yes, we use handicaps but these guys are good! Do you like to compete for large cash prizes multiple times per week on the best golf courses in the region? Do you like improving your game through competition? Do you like meeting new friends and clients? Do you like to writing your golf expenses off your taxes? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, wait no longer and join the FairWay Tour! We can get you a starting handicap in just a few minutes by calling Burt Rieck, Tour Director, at 405-203-GOLF. We hope to see you at one of our outstanding events this week. Hackberry Creek, Flintrock Falls or both are waiting for you because..."If you don't tee it up you can't WIN!"
