2010 Off To Fast Start Despite Weather

The FairWay Golf Tour is off to a fast start in 2010 as Kurt Franke bested the field of 17 players in the net division Saturday at a very wet Tangle Ridge GC to win the year's first event and $1000 in prize money. The tour also played Sunday at Winter Creek CC in Blanchard, OK where Larry Merrick cashed a $500 1st place check over 7 others with a net score of +2.5...Congratulations to Kurt and Larry! In other news, $100 Membership dues will continue to be waived for all players who play in at least one event before March 1st in an effort to bring more players to the longest active and best paying tour in the region. Compare our 2010 pay matrix to other tours in the area and you will see the HUGE disparity for basically the same entry fees. Not only are we the best at paying our players...we have the best and most proven handicap system in the business, paying over $1.5 million since 2001...the longest active net tour in the region. To prove our handicap system is best, compare the winning scores with other net tours in the area...the average WINNING net score in 2009 was -0.6. A player could average +3.1 and still finish in the money in 2009! Plus, we have MORE events to play, with the 2010 schedule featuring 38 events, 8 of which are 2-Day Majors in Oklahoma and Texas, with a Super Major scheduled for Las Vegas in July... So Come play the FairWay, it's the only way!
