Harklau Fires Gross Score of 138 To Take WinStar and $5000+ From Field of 30 Players

Jared Harklau of Hot Springs, Arkansas got hot on Sunday and fired a 5 under par 67 at WinStar to capture his first Major title on the FairWay Tour. Jared added .8 strokes to his total as a plus handicap to give him a net score of 138.8, congratulations Jared on a fine display of golfing talent. The field was bunched up coming down the stretch as Charles Johnston, a 7.9 handicap, was even par thru 14 holes on Sunday and in command until a lackluster finish of 5 over the last 4 holes moved him to third place and a totla payout of $1265. John Harbison, a 9.9 handicap managed to hold his round together and continues to improve since he first joined the tour in winter '09 as an 8 handicap. His net total of 139.9 earned him a 2nd place finish and a total of $2575. Great play, great payouts, great time for all, especially the money winners!
