Competition and Scoring Hot at Castle Hills As Summer Approaches

On a near perfect day at Castle Hills Golf Club, the competition was fierce as many of the players took advantage of the soft, slow greens and calm conditions to formulate a tight race that left contenders shaking their heads and wondering..."If only I hade made that 3 foot putt", which could have made a huge difference with 19 of the 33 players entered shooting net scores between 69 and 74, with 11 of those players shooting between 70 and 72. However, there were 2 players who distinguished themselves...congrats to Wayne Warren, who fired a net score of 66.6 that included an eagle on the 570 yd 17th (that's how you win a golf tournament!) to win 1st pl. and a total of $1695. Kirk Jameson also played a great round on his home course as the 4.5 handicapper fired a gross score of even par to take home $1055.
