Mahoney Wins Major #4 and $4850 With 36-Hole Total of - 4.3

Major #4 paid a total prize fund of $17,640 to 19 of 36 participants at Chickasaw Pointe Golf Club in Kingston, OK on June 5th & 6th. The entire field of 36 players enjoyed a challenging and very scenic layout ranked as one of the top public courses in the USA by Golf Magazine. Dustin Mahoney (2.8 hcp) of Elk City, OK withstood a stiff challenge by home course club pro Eric Gaston (2 hcp) to win the event and a total of $4850. Dustin's 36-hole net score of 139.7 on the par 144 layout was just enough to clip Gaston's 140 total. The tour would like to thank the staff at Chickasaw Pointe for helping make the event a great time for all. The perfect (but very hot!)scoring conditions and great condition of the golf course again left competitors with no excuses...it was there for the taking. Over half the field got some type of paycheck, with an average of $985 per player paid out to the 19 winners. Our next Major will be held at Stonebridge CC (Dye Course)July 24-25...this private course is one of the best in Texas as it has hosted the NCAA Championships and PGA Tour Qualifying School and was home course of teaching legend Hank Haney for years,
