Reinhardt Fires Net Score of -1.2 to Win First Event of 2011 and Take Early Lead in Red River Cup Points Race

Congrats to Michael Reinhardt of Fort Worth, who was the only player to beat his handicap under chilly, but benign conditions Saturday @ Texas Star Golf Club in Euless, TX. Reinhardt received a total of $950 and 55 points for the win as he beat the field of 13 players on the drizzly 48 degree day. The points system will reward the top 10 points finishers with cash bonuses at the end of the season projected to be in the thousands of dollars as $5 of every 1-Day Net and $10 of every 2-Day Net (major) entry goes into the points pool. Reinhardt received 50 points for the win and 5 points for participating. Points breakdown as follows: 1st 50 2nd 40 3rd 30 4th 20 5th 10 (regardless if there are 10 or 50 players points will be given only to top 5 finishers)...all players receive an automatic 5 points for participation and 5 points if they pay their $25 deposit prior to the 5pm Thursday deadline for the week's event. This means if you pay your deposit and show up you will automatically receive 10 points, which is the same as the 5th place finisher. Based on last year's numbers, the top 10 points winners would receive a total of over $5000 in BONUS CASH with the Red River Cup Points Winner receiving a check for over $2000. In 2011 it pays if you participate on the FairWay Tour!
