Cook Fires Career Round to Win at Waterchase

Congratulations to Robbie Cook, who enters the winner's circle after 23 events on the FairWay Tour with his lowest round by 3 strokes of the 33 recorded scores being used by the handicap system. The 4.8 handicap fired a gross score of 71 to record the lowest winning net score of the season for a 1-day event with a round of 66.8...great job Robbie! Since the USGA considers anything lower than 5 below net par an EXCEPTIONAL tornament score, Robbie's 71 will be entered TWICE into the system for a period of three rounds per the FairWay Tour policy for Veteran Players (more than 20 scores). If Robbie fires a score greater than 2 below net par during those three rounds it will remain for another three rounds to insure the integrity of an equal playing field. Robbie was not the ony player, however, to shoot a low score Saturday. Conditions were perfect with no wind and Waterchase was in excellent shape, which allowed several players to record low scores. Even so, if you broke your handicap, as always, you cashed a check on the FairWay Tour! We hope to see you this Saturday, September 3rd, on the cliffs above Lake Texoma where we will be playing Chickasaw Pointe Golf Club. This course is in immmaculate condition with perfect greens and is really a must play...we hope to see you there. If you played in Major #2 earlier this year at Chickasaw Pointe you may use your day 2 rainout green fee to play this event.
