Trails of Frisco and Woodforest, site of PGA Senior Q School, on tap for this week as Harmon wins at WinStar!

Ernie Harmon got his first win on the FairWay Tour at WinStar GC this weekend. Ernie is a very successful businessman from Enid, OK who carries a 15.3 hcp index with 73 rounds on the tour. Until now, Ernie was known more for flying his helicopter to our events! Ernie has been a trooper over the years, consistently playing as a 12 handicap (the tour is limited to players with a 12 or less hcp) despite his index of 15.3! Well, those years of competitive golf finally paid off for Ernie, who got some of his money back in the form of $6200 with two of his best rounds on the tour and a net score of 140 on the par 144 layout in Thackerville, OK. This tourney featured 30 players in the 2-Day Major and paid a total of $32,985! Ernie overcame a 5 stroke deficit to Cameron Meyers, who is headed to Houston for Stage 2 of PGA Tour Q School. Cameron carried a +3.1 hcp and a 3 stroke lead (5 strokes over ernie) into the final round after posting a 1st round gross score of 65 on the par 72 layout and a net score of 67.6. Cameron struggled early on Sunday as he was 3 over par thru 5 holes before posting a 73 for a net score of 76.1 and 2nd place money. These players were the only guys who managed to beak their hcp for 2 rounds on the much improved golf course. This week the tour will be playing Trails of Frisco GC in Frisco, TX on Thursday and Woodforest GC in Houston on Saturday! Woodforest is the site of PGA Senior Tour Q School next month so come see how your game stacks up! That event will pay double the 1-Day net pay matrix plus MAJOR bonus points. The Bonus Cash Race for the last quarter of the season starts Thursday at Trails of Frisco. Come join us for some spirited competition and great weather because...If you don't tee it up you can't win!
