Super Major #5 @ Chickasaw Pointe GC this weekend as Cook wins again at Buffalo Creek!

The FairWay Tour will have its 5th Super Major of 2016 July 2-3 at Chickasaw Pointe GC on Lake Texoma. Tee times will start at noon Saturday and 9AM Sunday. 1st place is currently $5000 w/20 players but could reach $7500 with a full field of 40 players. The golf course is a tour favorite that provides scenic views and elevation changes as it winds around the bluffs protecting Lake Texoma. And yes, the greens are currently in excellent condition as is the rest of the course! In other news, Robbie Cook continued his hot play Saturday as the 1.6 handicap shot an even par 71 at Buffalo Creek GC to win for the fourth time this season on the FairWay Tour! Robbie leads the money list with $16,138 as we near the halfway point of the season, replacing Cameron Meyers, the +2 handicap who has owned the top spot on the money list since 2012, earning $100,900 during that time span before moving on to the Adams Tour for more events this year. Anyone who believes you must have an inflated hcp to win on a hcp tour has not seen Robbie play and/or has not paid attention to the money list the last 3 years! This myth obviously could not be further from the TRUTH. The TRUTH is the more you play, the more comfortable you become and the better your chances of winning! 5, 10 even 15 strokes isn't enough if you can't clear the mental hurdle required to win a golf tournament!! Did anyone watch the US Open or The Masters this year, where Spieth took a 5 stroke lead to the back nine? Even he could not finish. Robbie has played 21 times this year, second most on the tour, and has established a level of comfort playing tournament golf. This comfort level translates to cashing checks! Unlike scratch tours, where a player can compete 20, 40, 60 times and not cash a check, the FairWay Tour gives players a FAIR chance to finish in the money! We hope to see you at Chickasaw Pointe GC this weekend because..."if you don't tee it up you can't win!"
