James wins Super Major #2 and $7010 @ Bridlewood with net score of 147.1; Texas Star Thursday and Woodforest Saturday!

Congratulations to Nathaniel James, who won both the Net and Scratch divisions last weekend at Bridlewood GC to take home $7010 from the 24 player field! Nathan fired gross scores of 71-72 and added a total of 4.1 strokes to his score at the 36 hole event for a winning net total of 147.1. Not sure if anyone is paying attention to the numbers on this, but what a great deal! For starters, any player had a 24:1 shot at making a very large paycheck with the opportunity to use your handicap in competition. Secondly, a winning NET SCORE of 147.1 playing the ball "UP" one grip length in fairways and bunkers should give more players reason to come give themself a chance to win (If you don't tee it up, by gosh, you can't win!). Two things to, the smaller the field the better your chances...two, 7 grand is 7 grand!! The Adams Tour kicks off this weekend with a 144 player field and I believe you would have to play 4 days of golf (4 days travel expense) and get third place (likely 10-15 under par or lower) with a $1250 entry to cash a check for 7 GRAND! Also, don't forget the FairWay Tour always pays 100% of the entry back to the players in the Scratch Division! We hope to see you this week as the FairWay Tour continues to provide high quality events at Texas Star Thursday in Dallas or Woodforest GC Saturday in Houston. In two prior Houston events for 2017, no player has broken their handicap! Spring is upon us so come join the fun because..."If you don't tee it up you can't win!"
