Youngest Player with Lowest HCP Wins 1st; Oldest Player with Highest HCP Wins 2nd in Tight Finish at Texas Star

Logan Waldrip edged out Donny Davis on Saturday at Texas Star GC in Euless, TX to win a total of $1190 and move his 2010 earnings on the FairWay Tour to $5975...good enough for 2nd place on the money list. The beauty of this event is that 1 stroke separated Waldrip and Davis in the Net Division, yet Waldrip is 43 years younger and got 12 less strokes and also spotted Mr. Davis one tee about variety at the top of the leaderboard! These results left the rest of the field with no excuses as handicaps and ages of those players fell somewhere in between. It was a tight finish nonetheless, as 9 other players posted scores within 5 strokes of Waldrip's winning net score of -1 (also his gross score with a zero hcp) and within 4 strokes of Davis's 2nd place net score of even par 71. So far this year, the FairWay Tour has paid $57,531 to 55 different players in 12 events...a total of 102 players have participated in 2010, which means over half have earned some type of paycheck! The earning potential of players is greater on the FairWay Tour because its pay matrix is greater and its 1-flight system pays more to the SAME group of players over and over without splitting the prize money into separate flights. Come join the fun...our next event in Texas will be Major #3 at Waterchase GC in Arlington May 1-2. Our next Oklahoma event is April 24 at White Hawk GC in Bixby, OK.
